Mississippi Roast

If you have never tried it, I highly recommend it. This is one of the number one winning recipes with Mr. And it has been a huge hit with other housemates as well.

It’s crazy easy–personally I usually do it in a slow cooker, but I’ve been loving the Instant Pot lately too.

How often can you make a 5 ingredient dinner?

All you need is:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 jar of pepperoncinis (or leftovers like this one)
  • 1 packet of au jus gravy mix
  • 1 packet of ranch mix
  • 1 roast

Put the roast in, sprinkle the au jus and the ranch in, pour the pepperoncini juice (and a few peppers) in, and lay sliced butter over the roast.

Usually if you do 6-8 hours in the crockpot, it’s going to fall apart like magic. However, in a time crunch you could do this in the instant pot. Or if your roast is too big, just set your oven for 200° and leave it to slow cook–I did this over night last week because Instacart brought us a huge roast and I didn’t want to try and pressure cook it.

What’s your favorite way to cook roast?
